Best in Asia-Pacific Health and Tech will Converge at HIMSS24 APAC

The best of Asia-Pacific healthcare will converge with international thought leadership at the 2024 HIMSS APAC Health Conference & Exhibition, the most influential digital health conference in the region.

HIMSS24 APAC will take place 1-4 October 2024 in Seoul, South Korea, with 300 exhibitors and more than 16,000 visitors, including executives, decision makers and influencers representing the global health ecosystem.

"It's clear that the world needs to see the excellent work that South Korea is doing, it is clearly inspiring for health systems around the world,” said Simon Lin, HIMSS vice president and managing director, APAC. “I've seen the innovations that are put in place, considering thoughtfully how it will impact patients as they enter a hospital for treatment and care. As a mission-driven organization, it's really important for us to leverage these wonderful examples and share them with the rest of the world at HIMSS24 APAC."

HIMSS has been driving digital transformation in South Korea's healthcare sector through memorandums of understanding signed with the Korea Hospital Association (KHA) and Korea Health Information Services (KHIS). On May 17, HIMSS and the KHA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), representing a critical step toward digital transformation in South Korea's healthcare sector. This collaboration aims to further various initiatives that are designed to advance healthcare capabilities, particularly in the realm of digital health.

As part of that MOU, HIMSS partnered with the KHA and Messe Essang, one of Korea's largest exhibition companies, to co-locate HIMSS24 APAC and K-Hospital Healthtech Fair 2024 — a digital healthcare exhibition and summit — at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in the Gangnam district. The K-Hospital Healthtech Fair, which is owned and operated by KHA, will welcome more than 16,000 visitors and 3,000 exhibitors. This co-hosting of international academic events signifies a bilateral interest in sharing knowledge, innovations and best practices across borders.

HIMSS24 APAC will focus on artificial intelligence, smart hospitals, decentralized care, cybersecurity and the future of healthcare delivery.

Healthcare subject matter experts are invited to share their transformative journeys, insights and case studies with the global health community at the conference. The HIMSS24 APAC call for papers will remain open until 15 May 2024.

Papers and proposals will be reviewed by HIMSS and the HIMSS24 APAC Steering Committee, which is made up of leaders from South Korea's top hospitals and respected healthcare professionals across APAC. The committee advises the development of a robust and insightful conference programme.
