Purpose of Affiliation
Affiliated chapters share the basic objective with the society of promoting the professional development of members, working to improve the reputation of the profession, and encouraging advancement in the field of health care management systems. The purpose of the affiliated chapters of the society is to provide an organized structure at the local and state level to advance the objectives of both the society and the affiliated chapters.
Objectives
Conduct meetings and offer publications which provide chapter members and other interested persons with an opportunity to share ideas, exchange experiences in the field of health care management systems, and advise members of career opportunities. Conduct educational programs which promote an understanding of how systems work in health care and advance the application of systems analysis and design techniques for the benefit of health care. Provide advice to health care organizations wishing to establish management and information system type functions. Prepare and distribute materials of interest to those in the health care field who are concerned with or engaged in the improvement of systems. Seek involvement of all members in chapter activities.
