Our members include more than 80,000 individuals, 480 provider organizations, 470 non-profit partners and 650 health services organizations. The HIMSS staff is made up of changemakers who collaborate with members to reform the global health ecosystem through the power of information and technology.
Bill Siwicki is Features Editor for Healthcare IT News.
Siwicki was recently recognized by the American Society of Business Publication Editors for his work on HIT Best Practices Series: Health IT Implementation Best Practices. The compelling series featured dozens of experts, presenting their expertise in easy-to-understand parcels for healthcare C-suite professionals and other readers. The sheer number of sources interviewed for this series goes above and beyond what one might expect for a feature story series.
I’ve been with HIMSS for five and a half years.
I support the mission of HIMSS by carefully researching and writing special reports, feature stories and new stories, filming video case studies and video interviews, that offer our members and other readers throughout the healthcare industry new or better ways to do their jobs using health IT so that they can improve patient outcomes, trim healthcare costs and gain efficiencies.
I receive thoughtful emails and social media posts from readers thanking me for my stories, for showing them new aspects of the technologies they use and for introducing them to something they hadn’t known before.
I hope my colleagues get a chance every now and then to visit HealthcareITNews.com and read one of my feature stories or case studies to see how I offer our members and other readers value. And keep an eye out for our new newsletter, Telehealth Connection, which I will be co-presenting with our new staff member Kat Jercich.
At HIMSS, our vision is to realize the full health potential of every human, everywhere. Be part of the community that’s transforming the global health ecosystem with courage, curiosity and determination.
