The Online Journal of Nursing Informatics, is a free, international, peer-reviewed publication that supports all functional areas of nursing informatics. The journal was launched in 1996, with readership spanning over 49 countries. As of May 2023, OJNI has permanently suspended publication, though its archives remain available as an open-access resource.
All content in the OJNI archives is freely accessible, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without any charge or the need for prior permission from the publisher or authors. The journal’s legacy continues through its contributions to advancing nursing informatics worldwide.
The HIMSS Foundation expresses our utmost gratitude to the extraordinary editorial team whose dedication and expertise made OJNI a trusted and influential publication:
Their remarkable contributions have been instrumental in shaping the field of nursing informatics and creating a lasting legacy for OJNI. The countless hours of work, dedication to the profession, and commitment to providing high-quality content to our global audience have not gone unnoticed. On behalf of HIMSS and the nursing informatics community, we offer our deepest and sincerest appreciation for their extraordinary service and leadership.
